i was at an auction last saturday and there happened to be a 93 talon there, after about 20min of looking at and i found no rust and in minnesota thats a big deal. i know its not the turbo model but i liked it anyway so i ended up paying $1100 for it. then i found out that 4th gear wasn't working. my buddy has a eclipse that he was junking so i bought that for $150. so me and my buddies replaced the transmission, the axel, and the sruts for the hach and after some research and guessing we found out that the manual transmission from the 1.8 eclipse(1994) will work in the the 2.0 talon (1993) but now im running into idle probs so if YOu have any tips post it on my car dies when i brake

Which specific issue which like us to address first?

You said you replaced the tranny. Then after some research, you found out the tranny is the correct one? Usually it's done the other way around.

And now you want help with your idle?

Is this problem occuring if you just start it and let it idle, or when driving and coming to a stop, or both?

Did it have an idle problem before the tranny install?

By the way, you should title your post what it's about. This looks like it's about an idle issue? Not about a great deal.

Other people use the forums to look for help. They use a feature called search. If we answer your question and help you, someone else could come, and use the search feature (which I highly recomend you start doing), and find the solution. So if they do a search for idle, they will see your post and read it. They might even be able to help you too.
