Hi,
I just had a problem with my Eclipse GS 99 last week, misfire in cylinder 4, spark plug was foiled so I changed all the plugs with Bosch Platinum+4 - BIG MISTAKE!!! 30 miles later another misfire in cylinder 4. I got to the mechanic and he said that Platinum+4 are nto very good for the car but the problem was in the coil pack so I changed coil pack, put standart stock plugs and wires. The problem went away and I have been driving for over 100 miles now without a problem but I am experiencing a strange problem:
When I am making a stop and the car is kinda hesitating and vibrating, not very much but notisably more than before all this happened. Since I drove on 3 cylinders for 10+ miles I bought a Chevron Techtron to clean up the fuel system as it might have got a lot of things through the misfiring 4th cylinder. I haven't noticed much of a difference but I have driven only 40 miles after I put the Chevron thing.
I was wondering whether this vibration is normal after changing these components and considering that maybe the fuel system hasn't cleaned itself yet. I have questions:
1. Have anyone of you experienced that or knows whether it is normal or I should worry about?
2. Should I put another cleaner to additionally clean the fuel system or one Chevron Techtron is enough for the job?
Thank you for your help,
Svetlin
