Have you done a boost leak test? First thing to check.
i dout thats the problem cause it wouldnt really make it do wut its doing, like im sayin totall falls like it seems like the motor looses all hp then gains it back n it keeps doing it like it would give u a whip lash

I'd think fuel cut, just because he says that it drives ok until he tries to 'get on it'.

A boost leak is the most likely culprit, with these cars. :) So yeah, spend five bucks at Home Despot for the bits to make yourself a tester; this won't be the last time you'll use it, if you intend to continue owning a turbocharged DSM. ^_^

I'm confused. Your profile says n/t. Is the car your question is about a different car?

As stated above a boost leak test would be first on the list of things to check. If not you may have a bad knock sensor that is causing timing to be pulled when you boost because it thinks your knocking when your not. Don't know how bad your condition is, but if you can't find any leaks and/or fix them and it still runs bad I'd try the knock sensor.

no its not the knock sensor, but i jsut found out i have a short in the mpi system, so the gas probibly shuts off at a cetrain rps since there is a drain of power in the injection system
