2nd & 3rd cylinder not getting spark.....why?!?!?!?

like the title says....

on my 95 4g63 2nd & 3rd cylinder are not getting ANY spark..why ? ? :cry:

here is what ive tried so far to try and fix it...

- change the spark plugs
- change the spark plug wires
- change the coil pack
- change the ignition control module

i did all that and still no spark ... why ????!?!?! :confused:

You might also want to check the coil pack connector (on the engine harness side) and the ECU for leaking capacitors. Read this post:

You may want to check you CAS and also check your ecu for leaky caps. You can test your power transistor with a voltage meter. If you have a repair manual it gives instructions there. Let me know when you fix it. :rocks:
 
Yeah, I just had a 1g swap like a month or two ago, and mine started not getting spark to cyl 2 and 3 as well. I have been reading and reading, and also looked in the manual, and it says the same thing. I am gonna try this and i'll post my findings. I am thinking its a bad power transistor though, bc i also have a AEM EMS... i hope to friggin god that that isn't the prob.... i don't need to be replacing a $1200 ecu damn it. :cry: Also, has anyone else had the problem of the tachometer fluttering when this is happeneing too? Just curious. Good luck to all!!!!
 
got around to looking at it today...... i followed the correct prodedure according to the book, and sure enough........ the test for cyl 2 and 3 failed. So, all i need to do now is source this damn transistor. I think they are like 110 new from autozone. Gonna try a junk yard tomorrow, but if nothin else, autozone it is. I'll let you guys know what happens. :)
 
finally found out what the problem was..on 2g's the cam angle sensor has its own cam gear ( i didnt know that) but i had it installed and the car runs perfect now !!!! :rocks:
