I have a 92 Tsi AWD and yesterday i swapped my old stock intake for a dejon tool intake. While putting it on we did the "free" mod to the intake (taking off those honeycomb things that help straighten the air out) and now im gettting some idle surge coming to a stop it will jump to about 1500 rpms and go back down to around 900 (what i have the idle set at). My question is...did taking out these honeycombs cause this spike in the idle? I can live with it but if anyone has any suggestions to fix it (other than put the honeycombs back in) it would be very appreciated
