Car : 3g turbo'd.
Transmission type : 5spd.
Motor : 4cyl. (Everything from our car bolts up to this car, In example.. Exhaust manifold etc etc.
mods : 3" turbo back, Clutch, Reinforeced pacesetter tubular manifold, 14b, 2 1/2" o2 housing. Spearco fmic with hard piping, Intake pipe, Hks recirculated, walbro 255lph fuel pump.
Anyways...
He went to raise the boost alittle, By adjusting the adjustable wastegate arm. This came on a 16g, But that broke so we switched it over to the 14b. The car was running fine until he tried messing with the wastegate actuator arm. Now, As soon as you go into boost and it hits full boost ( 0.5bar.) it will sputter and break up, back fire etc etc. He put the arm the way it was, But it is still doing this.
The car drives normal until it hits 0.5bar, Then hell breaks loose. There are no boost leaks, We checked. The blow off valve is fluttering ALOT now, For some reason. It's the hks ssqv. The car ran good until he touched the wastegate.
We ran the car without the mafs, And it runs a bit better for some reason, But STILL does the same thing, Just not as much. We also hooked my mbc up but that didn't really work.
Could it be another problem, But broke just when he did this, Just out of nowhere..
I was thinking it could be the sparkplug wires, Or maybe the coilpacks, Or mafs or something?
What would make a car stutter and ''break up'' when hitting full boost(0.5bar.) it is good all the way before that, While boosting, Until you let it go to 0.5bar. It was fine at 0.5 bar until now, Until he adjusted what I said, BUt now he put it back the way it was.
When it is spooling, It sounds like it's louder spool up then normal(as in air spooling up , you can hear it more.) but i'm not sure. The turbo has NO shaft play, And like I said, There are no boost leaks. The blow off valve is recirculated also.
I know I most likly didn't really explain everything, But the main thing I wanted to know is what could cause the stutter and total lack of power, And Huge hesistation.

Rob, you should know better. 3g is not the DSM language.
