Electrical issue

Ok car has sit for like almost month with no battery in it. And after get it fixed something is weird with the lights. Dash lights head lights any lights. When I'm below 1300 rpm everything is fine. Once i start to get above that the lights flicker. I dint know why. I'm thinking a voltage issue but Ive had that before and all the lights do is get really bright. I have checked all the grounds and their good. Any help will be appreciated

What does the battery voltage measure at idle and above 1300 rpm? Sounds like bad alternator - you can disconnect it (or remove it's belt) to see if problem disappears. If disconnect, make sure you tape up the wire ends so they can't touch anything.

battery voltage reads 14.8 volts on the battery around 2k rpm and 13.2 at idle. But thiers no problem at idle.

u deff think altnator time. Will advanced auto parts pick up the problem cuz the alt is still under warrenty.

If it is still under warrenty then yes. You can take it back in to your firendly neighbors at Advance Auto and they should help you out... *Que the Commerical*

hey had a wierd thing happen today. i think its related with the altnator. The coolent light came on and off for like 30 sec at a time and quit for like 20 min then did it again. I know when u have low voltage that light comes on for some reason. But yea i deff think the alt is on its last leg now.

Check your coolant level as well, of course.

ok i deff know its the alt now cuz i was driving home last night and the suge go really back and when u have the alt die or low voltage The coolent light comes on and the battrery light comes on and another light on the battery light side came one, or rather just started flashing with the surge of the lights. Im gonna change it today. voltage was surging from 13.7 to 15.2

OK all fixed problem eliminated bitched at advanced sine it was second replacement after warrenty and they gave me 20% off the price since it went bas so fast.
