Hi,

Very strange behaviour on my car lately, I get tons of knock (something like 20-30) when idling and when I gas it, I get 0 knock.

What could be the problem here?

Could be the result of low oil pressure at idle not pumping the lifters up enough and/or lifters that have blockages in the oil inlet.

Try changing to a thicker viscosity oil and be sure not to use FRAM-brand oil filters.

If no change, may need to clean the lifters or replace with the "3G" versions which have a larger oil inlet passage (less prone to clog).
