Ok, See if someone can help me pinpoint this , After about 3k (it varies slightly) I can push the gas in (not WOT but more slightly) and i can hear a low tone knock comming from the front of the car. Also I can have the car parked in neautrla and rev it up to like 2500 and then let off and hit the gas repeadetly keeping it around 2500 and i can hear the same knock. I ran through some engine treatment but it doesnt appeared to have helped. I recently installed a new alternator but it doesnt seem like it could be that, Could it be the turbo?

Also want to note that recently I had an issue with one of my spark plug wires, one of them popped out twice and i didnt realize it until I popped the hood, so I believe I was running with 3 cylinders for a bit, I dont know if that would have affected my pistons? I hae replaced the plugs nad wires with brand new ones as well as made sure they were gapped properly, I would have to say this noise started about the time I noticed my spark plug popped out, but that was also around the same time I installed the MBC, Cut the dump tube, installed the alternator

Definately check for metal flakes, try starting the car up and listening to the oil pan. You could have possible spun a bearing.
 
ok the clack got MUCH louder, now my car is dieing on me, only ideling at like 100 and stalls out if im not giving it gas, the belts are also sqeeking like a mofo now

Which belts? The accessory belts? I had a similar prob. with the noise and I had spun a balance shaft bearing and found it laying in my oil pan. Do you still have your BS's in? If so check it and the BS belt.

BS's?? Did the problem you have make a LOUD clack around 2500+? I cant tell where the squeek is comming from, its not the alt or PS its more towards the back.


If this is a spun bearing what are my options?
 
Your options would be limited. You would need to drop the pan and pull the caps off your connecting rods. Barring any obvious damage, you would need plastigage to find your clearances. The results will determine the next step. The previous owner on my n/t had let the problem go long enough that my crankshaft was ruined (.125 bearing clearance is ridiculous) and I needed a new con rod as well. I have another engine that was ruined when the BS bearing fell into the oil pan, being repeatedly struck by the crank, all while the BS is boring out the bearing seat, sending metal shavings everywhere. I would go ahead and remove the BS while your tearing that beast apart, they are nothing but trouble.
 
havent checked anything yet, I dont even know how to check the harmonic balancer haha. I think it might be better to my interest to just pick up a new shortblock, but im trying to get an idea of what the rebuildis going to cost , going to suck regardless.

you find out what was wrong? Same thing happened to my car last night as i was cruising in 5th on the freeway i got a loud clack coming from the bottom it seems and my timing belt is making a shit load of noise it seems. Its stuck at a lowes parking lot atm.. about to go pick it up and take it to a shop.
 
Gettin the car to a shop early this week, havent figured itout yet but im sure its not good in any case, I dont think my timing belt is making any noise but the load clack is nasty , i can drive my car its just awful noises and im sure its not good for it so I dont.
