Gauges & Lights wont lit

I was driving home yesterday and suddenly my car backfired, causing the car to die. As I turned it on again, my gauges all blacked out, I cant see my speed and rev's and also the lights on the A/C panel and such. External lights, radio, signal lights and BRAKE CEL SRS and such still works.

Any ideas ?

Check your instrument light fuse.

Thx I checked the fuse and it was broken on the inside.


I thought I had blown something bigger since the car backfired and died but its ok.
