Air flow is something we never seen before???????? Please help!!!

Ok got a 91 laser turbo put it all back to stock even factory air filter !! It had a 255 pump in it and was getting to much fuel. SO i put the stock pump back in and it still doing the same thing it starts fine, idles fine but when you give it a little shot of gas it bogs bad. Then whne you go to rev it up slow it will slowly rev up but has a point where it is breaking down or something. And bad smell of fuel took plugs out black as ####. I cannot figure out what it is???? I had the laptop on and everything looks perfect o2 is reading all injector s are working knock sensor is working. EVerything looks great. But it is fouling up the plugs big time. I noticed tonight that around the fuel pressure regulator is a little damp of that hose.? So now im wondering if the fpr is working?? i cleaned the plugs of and put them back in and i started it and u could give it a shot of fuel and it worked like it should perfect fo r a bout a minute then bvack to the same thing again. took plugs out again black as ####. What would you guys sugest to do next?? I do still have a aftermarket fuel filter on it but cant see that doin the problem???

Pull the ecu and check for leaking caps. Also did it ever have an afc? If so, was the mas signal wire reconnected after the afc was removed? Also, do a boost leak test and see how that turns out.

Yes it did have a afc in it but we put it all back to stock i will try a boost test tonight!!! I dont think its the ecu!! Its not all that old!!!

Might not be that old, but it's electrical. If it's electrical it will go out. So it's worth checking.

Ok had put a different fpr on it tonight and still no difference! Then put the logger on it again and noticed in my air flow when i step on the gas it goes to 0 hrz and the air temp flow goes to -74 then goes back up as soon as i let of on the gas. Anyone ever have this problem before it is making the car run pig rich. And i used to have a afc but put all the wires back the way they are supose to be. Also tried 2 other mass air flow sensors and same thing with them! So it has to be a sensor or wiring problem? Everything else on the logger looks fine! What would you guys sugest to do next?? Im stumped??

I checked the wires tonight 2 were wrong that go of the maf plug, so i fixed it and tried the maf again and still the same but wait I tried unplugging the maf sensor and bingo works almost perfect step on the gas and it revs up like it should! So i think i will try another maf sensor tommorow! When it was on the logger before when you would step on the gas it would bog and the air flow temp would go to minus 74 now i checked it with the maf unhooked and it didnt drop but this could be because the maf wasnt hooked up Am i right??

Yes, with the MAF disconnected you should get a CEL and the ECU will use some failsafe defaults for the values it would have been reading from the IAT, Baro, and MAF.
