Engine Dies with clutch in

OK, a couple weeks back i was cruising in 3rd gears low RPMS until i heard the engine start to kick back like 3 or 4 times. Right after it stopped, the check engine light came on but i didnt think much of it cause it seemed to run fine. Well off and on ever since then the car tends to die as put the car out of gear when braking. It will idle fine when stopped, but if i push the clutch in while moving or braking it drops RPMS and dies. Plus, the car has been running very rich ever since and i have since replaced my plugs and plug wires since then because i thought it might be the ignition. Anyway, the car is a 96 eagle talon ESI with the DOHC 2.0L motors with a Garrett T3/T4 Hybrid turbo setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
