Hey guys, I was driving the car tonight when my car hit it's famous rev limiter at 3500 and blew off.

As soon as that happened the car almost stalled, then proceeded to put down the street... couldn't rev past 1500 it would just start shaking..

Pulled the plugs and they were covered in oil.... Is she toast? :cry:
 
Well, you ask a question in the middle of the night and then bump your own thread first thing in the morning before anyone has a chance to wake up and read it. With an attitude like that, I dought anyone is really interested in helping you.

Now, do a boost leak test and a compression test and see what the outcome is. With the little info that you gave, no one can know what it is. You have been a registered member long enough to know that(I would think anyway) :toobad:

Anyways, what more information could I possibly give you? It was 2am, I pulled the plugs and they were covered in oil. Also, the car doesnt run, barely idles, won't rev past 1200... I'm doing a compression check when I get home from work.

After a search of all your posts, It looks like you had only one question that wasnt answered so why complain? Like I said, you seem to bump your own threads if someone doesnt answer it within a couple of hours and most tuners member find that annoying.

Oil on your plugs could either be burnt piston, broken rings, clogged pcv valve, shot turbo, etc. Now, do a little diagnostics for your self before you ask a very vague question like this. Tell us a little more like what were you doing to lead to this, miles on engine, compression #'s, age and condition of turbo, pcv and breather to intake pipe or just catch can/filter off vc, etc. You should know all these things about your own car and this info is helpful for the rest of us to help diagnose your problem.
 
This car was bought last week. I knew the motor had low compression (130 130 100 130), but it still ran fine. I never drove it hard, wait, let me rephase, I couldn't drive it hard. I only bought it to drive every day, and when the day came to replace the motor I would do it. Just didnt think it would be so soon.

would a shot turbo, or PCV valve cause the car to barely run? or would it just smoke like whore and make the plugs oily?
