Very weird elctrical issue....

Ok i was driving home from work yesterday and while i was giving full throttle i heard my belts sqeaking then about 15-30 seconds later i smelled something burning so i pull over on the freeway and looked under the hood and there was smoke coming aroung the alternator/belt area

after that i noticed my interior fans werent working(heater and regular air) and my coolant and battery light were on the whole way home, the coolant and bat light is very dim though...I made it home no problem and i go to start my car this morning and the brake light stays on all the time (like bat and coolant lights) now but not as bright as when i pull the ebrake up..So now my batt, coolant and ebrake light stays on but very dim...I fixed the fan thing by replacing the fuse. Other than that all fuses checked out ok.

Note:Alternator belt was a lil loose so i tighten that but it didnt solve anything...

Your alternator is fuxored. You blew a fuse? Might have over run the regulator and then fried it. Been there done that. How many miles? Those battery, coolant and brake lights is Mitsu's way of saying your car needs more electircity.

ic ic i got a new alternator this morning so all i got to do is put it in now...The car has 127,000 miles on it...
