I just checked my compression and I think that I have a big problem. The results are 150, 155, 160, 155 for the cylinders from right to left.(sorry, I don't know if cylinder 1 starts at the left or right.) Is this normal for a engine that has 149,000 miles on it? What options do I have to fix this problem besides a rebuild? Honestly, I just don't have the cash to rebuild my engine at the moment. Well actually, are these numbers even bad? I don't have my manual with me since I'm at school and I don't know what they're supposed to be.

ANY help is appreciated from you all. I am going to be driving this car everyday after school is over and I'd like to figure out what I should do.

Thanks

You're well above the 2g turbo of 133 so you should be fine. Was the test done fully warmed up and full throttle applied during cranking? What led you to the compression test? Is it smoking?

My car isn't acting up or anything, I just wanted to be safe before I really start modding. I don't really know if i went full throttle. I just revved it to about 3500 to 4000 until the guage stopped rising more. Did I do it right? And yes, the engine was hot too.

Thanks

No!LOL I don't think I'm that foolish.... ROFL

But thanks for that link. I guess I didn't do it right. I did not disconnect the MPI fuse. I also did not floor it. I only disconnected the spark plug wires and then cranked the engine over. So do you guys think that my compression is acutally higher since I didn't floor it?
