Problem near the belt side of the engine help me

Hey guys here we go

If you ever heard a noise from a power sreating pump when ur low on fluid. Take that sound and take the whine out of it and thats what i got.

Its comming from around the water pump area or lower. I listend to the cam gears and deff not comming from it or the power stearing pump. Its like a air sound ard to describe. The timing belt is tight. its deff not inside the engine. Engine runs perfectly fine. The water pump and altneator are brand new. I have no vacum leaks or anything.

ok the water pump pulley was a little loose so i tightened it and still no good. how can u tell if your timing belt idler pulleys are going bad??

I guess if the pulleys are bad they'd make a noise or wobble. I have a mechanics stethoscope for such diagnosis. Not a very expensive item.

When my tensioner was going bad I got a horrid growl that got worse by RPM from the TB area that was really hard to pin point even with the mechanics stethoscope. I can't tell you how to know if the tensioner is bad for sure with out removing it. But if its out and you can push it down by hand even a bit its bad. when I removed mine I could get it to move down a hair with just my thumb!

If you suspect something in the timing I wouldn't drive it..or even start it(unless you have to in order to diagnose). I've read that timing mishaps often occur durring startups. Better carefull than sorry.
