A/C Belt or what????

Well when I start my car I hear a squeeling if I rev it a couple times it goes away, until I start down shifting and when I let out on the clutch it squeels, my AC belt is very very loose, and I was wondering since my AC dont work if I could take and cut the belt all the way off? I cant swear this is the problem but since the belt is so loose I figure it is.

well I just looked and it's not my AC belt it's my Power steering belt. would it squeel if it was loose and under pressure?

Yes, if a belt is loose, it will squeel.

And yes you can just cut that A/C belt off without problems.

Tensioners also squeel when they start going bad. Might want to look into that as well

I am thinking it is the Power Steering belt squeeling b/c it's very very loose and I can take and move it up and down with no problems what so ever. I bought a new Power steering belt and drive belt gunna replace them and go from their.

Power steering belt was the problem I think it was the OEM one and car is a 93 so needless to say it was pretty dry cracked rotted and everything else while I had the main drive belt off figured I would replace it also.


And well needless to say it took care of my problem and the car steers 10X better than what it had been.
