sunroof issue on 2g

on my 95 talon when i hit about 45mph air runs under the sunroof and you can hear it just hissing away, but if crack a window it will close. my question is there anyway to keep this from happing because on a rainy day water will drip under there very slowly so if u have any advise other than just ride with the window cracked that would rock peace

yeah I had that problem,

If you look on the sides of the sunroof from the inside of the car, you should see (if i remember correctly) 6 screws (3 on one side and 3 on the other). They're probobly loose. Give them a good tightening and see how it is.

And use blue locktite on them. Factory spec is to have the sunroof glass mounted 1mm lower in the front than in the back. And if you can figure out how to get that goddamned kind of precision, NASA can use you.

Mine was doing the same exact thing. The fix? I had to get a whole new sunroof. After the hurricanes were gone, I brought my car to the body shop to get some cosmetic damage fixed. One of the things on the list was a new sunroof seal. They removed the sunroof, and then tried to remove the seal. When it came off, so did the metal strip that holds it in place- it was rusted almost completely away, all the way around.

If it was on my dime and not the insurances, I would have jbwelded it or fiberglassed it or something just to save the money.
