Have another little wiring problem..... since I got the car, and would like to fix it..... The 12v signal that turns on with the key to the cas is dead..... it currently is tapped and a wire runs inside to a 12v ignition source.... It works like this but is rigged and want it to work in stock form. any ideas? on where this wire runs to.....
 
Hey im having a hard time tracking these wires you seems to be bale ot read this diagram alittle better than me... I have power to pin 3 on the mpi relay harness but No power on pin 4? any ideas on what to check form here. thanks
 
is there somthign thatc omes from the key??? looks like htere used to be an alrm installed on the car maybe somthing got clipped
 
Pins 4 &5 on the MPI relay don't have power on them until the ignition switch is turned on.
The ECU sees this on pin 110 and responds by pulling ECU pin 63 (MPI pin 8) low to switch on the power to the MPI circuit. That finishes powering up the ECU and provides power to the CAS, MAF, solenoids, ISC, and injectors.

I thought you said that after unplugging and replugging in the connectors you started getting the MPI relay to power the ECU up, is it still working?

well i htought that was it... but the 12v to the cas is bypassed... at the itme I had it unhooked adn then hooked it back up and everythign was working that is why I didnt know why everything started working again... so Today I unplugged the rigged wire and now back to square one.... so i dont have power to mpi.... wire

So what you had was battery voltage applied to the CAS that was powering everything else up instead of the MPI relay powering the system.

Go back to what I told you to check to start with in the other thread and how I explained the power works above. You'll have to track down where it stops working. There are too many different things that can happen so we'll need specifics about what you've done and what you've found in order to help.

Slow down when your posting, this isn't IM with a bunch of your Buddy's where spelling and clear communications don't matter.

yeah.... been running back and forth from the garage to the computer.... you are right i have a battery voltage powering everything.... I have power everywhere but the harness.. guess i need to study the harness diagram.
 
ok did some looking and reading... I have power after the mpi fuse.... so i have power going fromt he engine bay... I have no power at pin 10.... I assume pin 10 is the bottom right pin looking at the harness with the plug facing me??? there is no pin above the one im checking..
