Car won't hold coolant

well it would be a very bad thing if it is leaking into your cylinders but im sure you would notice some problems if youve lost THAT MUCH coolant into your engine.

Na, it doesn't smoke any, and the car runs find and doesn't over heat, I smell alittle coolant every once and a while when I pop the hood, and there is coolant when I open the radiator car, but the little resiwire thing keeps going empty. Any other ideas?

This is just a possibility... Maybe it isn't full when you think it is. There might be air in the system. get a couple of bottles of water and coolant and open the radiator cap (when car is cold) as it warms up and the thermostat opens add water/coolant as nessasary. maybe this will circulate the air out of the system.

it is worth a shot.

Not a bad idea. Today I took it to my mechanic to have him look the car over anyway. Hes a friend of the family and works on all our cars. I just got the car like 3 weeks ago and usually when I get a car, he takes a good lookover anyway for any problems. I hope he can find a problem. Hope there isn't a leak in the radiator itself. But if there is no leak, I will try that idea of yours. Thanks :thumb:
