Well, i figured on a nice day today, i would take my radiator off and clean all of the leaves and whatnot that have been there since the day i got it, so i pulled the fans off, then drained out the radiator, then pulled the hoses off, then unbolted it, and got it off... i cleaned behind it... then i put it back in after letting this project sit on hold for an hour to come inside and eat and do this and that, anyways, i put it all back in, fill it up with fluid, and make sure everything is good.. the first thing i noticed was when i got into my car, none of the interior lights came on, and when my cd player turned on and started playing a disc, no sound was coming out of it... so i messed around and found that the only thing that worked were the wipers, the sunroof, and the lights, but when i went to shut the lights off....they stayed on.. the corner lights and tail lights shut off, but the headlights and foglights stayed on.. thats when i knew something was messed up... so i went and pulled the battery cable off, and stuck it back on, and they stayed off... so i figured i would start the car and make sure i didnt screw anything major up, and it started up and ran around 1500 rpms consistently... so i shut it off and was somewhat relieved....but not totally... anyways.. i just need to know... is there a fuse that is blown? or does it go into more detail than that... i didnt mess with any wires, so nothing can be shorting out or anything.. and i the only things i unplugged where the harnesses on the radiator fans.... so i am kind of stumped...any help would be nice.. looks like i wont be going to school tomorrow :thumb:

Sounds like a blown fuse and also possibly a stuck headlight relay. Swap with another relay to test it. But first disconnect battery and unbolt the engine fuse box and look at the cluster of wires underneath. Since one of the main electrical harnesses (has head/fog light on it) goes under the radiator, some wires may have gotten damaged. Some may be shorting or split in two (in either the harness or fusebox) which is the real cause of all this and probably will again.

This is ZachM31, just using a friends account at school here.

Problem fixed, i saw a post after i posted this where a guy had the exact same problem, so he replaced his alternator fuse... so i went out, and looked and sure enough, my fuse was blown.... $4.25 and a 30 mile trip... oh well.... at least i am a little bit less worried now. I bought 2 of them just in case, and i am almost positive on how i blew the fuse too.. make it a lesson earned... ;)
