I am reading low compression (80psi) and i have reason to believe i got performance cams sent with my head instead of stock ones (overlap??) What i am going to do is remove the rocker arms from one cylinder forcing all the valves as closed as they can get. And see what compression looks like then. IS THIS A BAD IDEA?

no, you don't want to try that. what will happen is that first off you will not measure any compression since you wont be able to draw any air into the cylinder without the intake valves opening. second you run the risk of blowing a head gasket from not being able to exhaust the vacuum from inside the cylinder or not being able to exhaust any air that may be in the cylinder.

yes that sounds about right...Guess i need to do the normal CLT the old fashioned way. Anyone in houston free this weekend?
