Ok so I did what they said and drilled out the pcv valve so the flow was right through. Than I hooked one line of the hose to the pcv valve, the other to the catch can. Than I ran the other line from the catch can to the other nipple on the valve cover. I hope that is right. Than blocked off the little nipple where the pcv valve hose went before. Drove the car, it ran fine, but looked like it was smoking really bad from the exhaust, than I noticed some smoke from under the hood.

So I put a new PCV valve in and hooked it back up like normal and everything is fine. Car runs like it did before. What the heck happend. What was going wrong.

I also noticed that there was a wire broken off at one of the sensors on the T-stat housing. I know I should go get that fixed, but what sensor is that. My temp gauge still works.

Car info:"
91 Talon TSI 2.0 Turbo. With upgraded turbo and other fun stuff.

Ok, think I got the catch can thing figured out.... everything is fine there now.... I dident have the little vent hole open on the can, that could have been really bad..... but I still dont know what the sesnsor is.

I did the cheap $4 catch can mod and havent had any problems yet. Do you have a pic of the broken wire/sensor?

I checked with the dealier and it is the temp sensor, but.... they cant get a pigtail for it... so I took to female spades and hooked it back up.... The CEL came on for a bit and went back out, and decides to come on once and a while now... I think they are comming loose or touching some times.

But the car runs fine, you guys dont think I goofed anything up when I hooked the can up wrong do ya?

I'm glad that it stopped posting. Don't know about the CEL.
