hello guys :dsm:

i have a very serious problem and i cant seem to solve it and its getting worse as time goes on

when i first bought the car (78,000 odo) my economy was good. 4 months down the road my mileale started go bad a little bit but not noticbly bad. in other words its was something i could work with cause i got the car back after it was stolen and all of the stuff i had was stolen and was return to stock

but with time it has gotten worse. (97700 odo)

my current mods is

apexi down pipe
thermal 3"exhaust cat-back (no converter)
hallman pro boost controller
extreme psi intake and filter
1g modded bov
accel wires
ngk 7 series
walbro 190lph
angry T25 ;)

now my fuel economy is horrbliy bad
when i did the math on it it looks like im averaging about 12mpg if not less
i do gas every other day
yesterday i put 10 dollars in the tank when it was empty which after i put 10 dollars in it brought me up a quarter tank!!!!!!!
and i had to put 5 dollars in today!!!!! where is the gas going?????

there is no puddle under my car at all after sitting in my drive way telling me theres a leak or anything

and get this when my gas goes close to being empyty (when gas light flashes) a heavy gas fume smell enters the cabin of the car and i have to open all windows in 20 degree chicago weather to vent out the fumes because it is so thick and get me migraines from it

thats telling me i got a leak somewhee but i cant seem to buy it

i took my car to jiffy lube to inspect the undercarrige for leaks they said that all lines were dry...

could it be the charcoal canister, fpr, injectors, fuel rail, filter, lines, pump??????

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT HERE???

my moms ford expolrer saves more gas then i do and its a SUV!!!

If you have a leak, it should take more cranks in the mornning to start it up. Bad o2 sensor, maf, boost leak...etc. are some of the things that would cause your car to run rich. The 190 without afpr, though not too bad, doesn't help either.

i ohmed out my maf sensoer in school today and it was good and i don't have any boost leak

but would the o2 sensor going bad make fumes go in the car and make horrible gas mileage

Combination of rich conditions and exhuast leak will fume up the cockpit. Did you do a boost leak test or are you guessing you've no leaks because everything looks tight?

i don't have any boost leaks becuase my car does boost and psi i set my manual boost controller so i boost leak isn't a problem.... gas milage and thick gas fumes are

my o2 sensor was dead- no reading with multi meter what so ever. i have a nice leaky flex pipe and sometimes when id pop my hood and look for a few minutes id STINK like gas. i smelt like i was riding a snowmobile for a couple hours. now it seems to have gone away. check ur o2.
