allright i just got done installing my turbo logic manual boost controller and a boost gauge, i plug the hole in the intake and the one on the tubo housing, i run the line on the mbc thats opposite the screw part to the line between the bov and the intake manifold and the line that comes out the side to the wastegate...

i take the car out to do some pulls to set the mbc and my car is extremely slow, dont know what the prob is but it is so much slower than it was before, i tightened up the mbc to where my gauge says im boosting 10psi tightened it more but its still boosting 10 psi, guessing the bov has reached its leaking point, but the car is still S L O W... it just feels really laggy, when i punch it it just doesnt shoot off like it did before, heres some pics, ive checked all the hoses, theyere all tight and still on, anyone have any ideas?

here's the mbc, top line going to line between bov and manifold

my bcs is broken though so thats why i got a mbc, i have nothing to hook the hoses to if i take the mbc off

1. What type of MBC is it, ball and spring?

2. Bypass the MBC by connecting the pressure source directly to the actuator.

3. Use either the BOV/intake or the turbo outlet as pressure source.

edit Forget #3, I just read your post again, more carefully this time. :)

its a turbo logic mbc, yes its a ball and srping

would connecting the boost source side of the mbc to the turbo (compressor) housing make a difference?
thanks for the suggestions so far

you said that your solenoid was broke. so you had no way to control boost. if the lines would not stay on the solenoid then that means that your lines werent getting a pressure source. now that you hooked it up correctly with a pressure source it is actually running the 10lbs like it should of in the first place. your actually better off this way you would eventually over run your turbo. btw do you have a 2g bov?

EDIT: I just viewed the photo on the gauge connection. Why do you have all those fitting attached to the line? why didn't you just use a plastic tee and the plastic attachment for the plastic line to hook both of them up? alsao check to see if ther aren't any kinks in the gauge line? where do you have that line running trough the fire wall to the gauge?

Did you try running without the mbc yet? If it's a ball/spring type, you may have hooked it up wrong. The pressure source should be on the opposite side of the adjustment knob, the image is not very clear as to where knob is so you'll have to make that determination.

No it shouldn't make any difference at least not enough if any to cause your problem, I originally thought you ran it from the same line for the boost gauge.

the way i set up my boost controller is having one line to the compressor housing and the other to the wastage actuator is that a good way???

It's arguable wich is better, each has it's pros and cons. On one hand the manifold pressure tells you exactly what the engine is taking in but on the other hand, the compressor gives you a better reading on what the turbo is boosting. The differences is minute but that changes if you have a huge leak some where in between. I prefer the compressor in case if I develop a significant boost leak, I'd rather under boost the engine than to over boost the turbo. In most cases, either will work fine.

for some reason my boost gauge didnt come with that plastic adapter peice, plus the gauge only has like 2 inches worth of wiring with it, ###, but yea there used to be an alarm on my car so the line is just running through thatv hole in my firewall

i have a Qboost MBC, ball and spring, and i have a Blitz BOV (vented unfortunately) anyways, i hooked mine up where the bottom barb goes to the BOV line and the side one goes to the actuator... i had it set up the way Qboost wanted it (one to the actuator and one to the compressor) i took it for a spin, and i got off the gauge pressure (over 25 psi), so i tried adjusting it, and no luck, so i went to vfaq and got one guy's install and did it his way, i am pushing 16 psi now.... never spiked past it.
