HELP-my DSM is flatlined/dead/no vitals

I was jump starting my 97 gst spyder. when I was turning the car on the entire electrical system died. nothing electrical works. no sound, no lights, no horn, no windows etc.

battery charged and tested good, new battery terminals, battery cables are good, all fuses in/out the car are good, opened the ECU and nothing is burned and no other signs of damage so I assume the ECU is also good.

any ideas of what is cutting all the power ??? can a damaged starter (short) cause this?

UPDATE:

I found the thread titled:
My car is electrically dead with new battery

I found that my new ground terminal where the blame. I sanded the paint coating on the connection side and it was fixed. stupid simple sh-T...damn
