today i just hooked up my autometer phantom boost gauge and i took it out and i would do a 1st and 2nd gear pull and it would read usually 8-9 psi.....im pretty sure i got everything hooked up right. I know my ex. manifold has a crack on the top and one on the bottom so could that be a reason im not getting full boost? any input would be appreciated.

my car is all stock but has a evo3b16g, no MBC

Well an exhaust leak like that can make you lose boost, the crack in your manifold, there fore its not keeping tight pressure. maybe you can find someone to spot weld it. see what that does. do u have a internal or external wastegate

Evo III 16gs are internal gated

How to you have the pressure source routed to the wastegate? If its a direct line from a lower/upper UICP to the wastegate, then its normal. Most Evo IIIs you get from vendors have a stock wastegate setting at 9 psi. If you hook up the hoses to the stock boost controller, it will run your boost at whatever your stock levels are.

Stock boost without bc is 9psi. It falls off pretty quick too for me. I have the thing going on as you do. I doubt you hooked something that simple up incorrectly... :D
