When i push my clutch in to shift, my rpms rise about 700rpm from were ever they were. Everyshift this happens, they do go down, if i wait about 2 seconds, which makes for a very long shift. What is causing this??

does it do this if your sitting still? like for instance sitting still in neutral you push the clutch to shift into first and it revs?

if not, maybe you arent letting off the gas fast enough.

Well, i do have idle surge, the good ole 1500-2000 range. The car starts great, runs great. When in neutral, it doesn't do it, only when moving, normal driving, but from a stop it doesn't do it. Even downshifting it does it, while coasting, i don't even press the gas, just push the clutch in and it does it. My clutch, tranny, everything if factory. My slave cylinder might be going on my clutch, it feels sponging and has a soft return every once in a while.

i kinda of solved my own problem, my throttle is alittle slow, so when i let off the gas, if i wait about 2 seconds, then push the clutch in, everything is normal. I guess some adjusting if needed......or just a non-cruise cable.

Make sure your clutch master cylinder is adjusted right as well. Mine did that when i had to install a new one and then i finally got it adjusted properly.
