has happened twice now, i let my foot off the clutch, the car shifts and is in gear, however the Clutch pedal Doesnt come all the way out, it stops pretty much even with the break as where usually its a few incehs higher. Ill pump the pedal a little and i still wont come all the way back out, then randomely ill shift and it will come all the way back out again... .any thoughts?

Are you actually moving when this happens?
Anything else, like RPM dropping when you push the clutch in? Ticking from the TB area?

TB area?

Yeah Im actually driving when this happens, Ill pull out of a road, shift into 2nd let out on clutch and it only goes back as far as break, shift into 3rd No problem let out on clutch still only going as far back as break. Drive for a little bit and it will popall the way back out again.

Didnt notice any RPM dropping but Ill keep an eye out fo rit next time it happens.

TB Area = Timing Belt Area - driver's side of the engine where the motor mount sits.
I'd also check the transmission to make sure it was lined up perfectly w/the block. I don't know if it would cause a problem like this out of alignment, but it doesn't seem improbable. Make sure the two dowels on the bottom side of the block going into the tranny are there.

Ahh , there is ticking but im quite sure its form one of the solenoids. Ill have to check the tranny when I can, lots of snow on the ground here and I dont have a garage LOL

The guy I boguht the car offen said it has a brand new clutch and a newly rebulit tranny, didnt get proof but thoguht it might be worth noting

hmmm no spongy effect that I have noticed, Question, I tried yesterdat without success, how the hell do you get the clutch fluid container open, Im pretty sure I have it located, just to the right of the Brake fluid, But I cant get the damn thingopen LOL :(

I would bleed the clutch line and check for leaks in the slave cylinder and rubber lines. I had the same problem and it turned out the slave cylinder had a leak. Good luck

Will :talon:

you should check the clutch master cylinder resivor, and if thats full, maybe u should pump the clutch a few times to make sure there are no air bubbles in the system, your slave or master cylinder maybe have a lilttle leak, or you maybe getting crank walk. make a left hand turn and press in the clutch, if it sticks, its a sign of crank walk. For everyone else, you can disconect your clutch sensor thing which is under the drivers side dash, so you dont have to press in your clutch to start the car, it may help prevent CW.

I've got this problem too...I've got a built 6-bolt, ACT clutch, and ACT flywheel all with about 475 miles on it. It drives just fine and I can take sharp left turns no problem, but I went to do a few AWD donuts and when I was spinning turning left the clutch pedal was stuck about an inch off the ground. It was still in gear, but I had to lift the pedal up to get it back to normal. This is pretty much the only clutch issue I have with it, and I'm pretty sure its not CW on a 6-bolt with less than 500 miles.

I had a similar problem the other night. I was doing a few AWD launches and then my clutch stuck to the floor (I was going in a straight line)...I had to pump the clutch to get the pedal off the floor. I have no obvious signs of CW either....any ideas? :dsm:

still havent figured it out, tookit to 2 different garages who couldnt even get it to act up, Its actually usually turning Right not left that it happens for me but its not really a certain time ive hadit happen driving straight etc...

Whats ticking with the timing belt area gonna be a sign of? I have that happen every now and then in the THROTTLE BODY area while driving, and even sometimes while I'm working on my car when its off after like 15min it'll make a bunch of ticks and then quit. It's random.

I did that lil tip like a month after I got my car. What proven proof makes you think it helps prevent crank walk? I did it just for the comfort that I think its stupid have to hold the clutch in to start the car....especially since i always leave it in neutral.

Oh to your question above. To open the clutch fluid res. which is to the right of the brake fluid res, you just push down and turn it a certain way, then pull on it like a mofo to get it off. It's like suction cupped on there.
