OK I have a 1993 eagle talon 2.0 non turbo 5 speed. For a couple of months now it has been a little hard to start on rainy days. Well one day i drove it to work andd when I went to leave it would not start. I checked it out and found out it has no spark I replaced the coil packs ecu and the relay and still no spark. does anyone have any ideas on this?

I belive that could be your crank pully sensor. My was out and i had no spark or fuel going. Check that out.

I think he meant cas, cam angle sensor. That very well could be your problem, as they are notorious for failing on dsms. P.S. check your ground wires, I had a no spark/fuel problem that I could not fix, it ended up being the ground from the firewall to the intake mani.

No, he meant what he said... the 7-bolt engines used from '93 - '99 have a crank position sensor on the lower front (timing) side of the engine. They usually don't go bad unless a belt kills them or crankwalk gets them, though. I'd check both CPS and CAS for failure.

EDIT:
Apparently 1G 7-bolts don't have two seperate sensors; They're integrated into one unit. The 2G 7-bolts have two seperate sensors.

Hello How do you check the sensor? Is there a way to check voltage out of ot or something or is it just a visual check?? Please be specific I am not much of a mechanic.

Just a side note I like your reason for editing.

You can check the CAS with a voltmeter I believe. I've always just swapped them out for a known good one to see what happens. The service manual should have a procedure to check the CAS if it can be done.

As far as my editing reason - I admit, sometimes brutally, when I make a mistake :thumb:

Well what i did to check on my sensor i just took a positive voltage from bettery and put it on one of the wires. There are 3 wires going to the sensor. Not shure whitch wire that was but look at the manual it will tell you. Worked for me
