This morning, I went out to start my car and get it warmed up for the drive to work. It started up then I heard a loud clicking/knocking noise. Turn off the car to find that the alternator belt jumped off. I thought it was just streched or something, because it happened a few times in the last week or so. After work I pushed the car into the garage, removed the wheel and inspection cover tofind that I couldn't get the belt off to put the new one on. My crank pully is hitting the engine bay. The belt will not slip off. The car will run, but the pulley is draggin on the body. When I push on the pulley I can move it back and forth (towards the motor and back) but I'm not sure if it is the pulley its self or the crank? Also the AC belt jumped a few teeth too. Anyone know if this is crankwalk? I assumed the car wouldn't work if it was walking because of the crank angle sensor. But if it isn't crankwalk what would have caused this?
