ok, first of all, i dont think its crank walk because it is not left turn related, i dont think, and i have a 99gst

It seems to do it in the morning when i get in the car(meaning its been sitting all night) and also once in a while when i come to a stop and havent used the clutch in a while, it feels very soft and falls to the floor, but 2-3 pumps and its ok again

I had my clutch done 3 weeks ago, but they just pulled out the slave cyl. so they didnt have to bleed it, meaning nothing was disconnected, it was pulled out as an assembly, should i still bleed it through? What else could it be?

YES you should bleed it first and see if that takes care of it. If not it could be your master or slave clutch cylinder. But try bleeding the system first. Then report back.

Have you been driving your car hard? i had a new clutch installed and i even bleeded the entire system..my problem was that it blew the slave cy. out..it broke the bolts that hold it to the trans.. But just bleed it and report back... :thumb:

here's the weird thing

it falls to the floor but i am not losing any clutch fluid at all no leaks anywhere today the pedal i on the floor and even pumping it now doesnt bring it up at all...wtf

is it possible to suck in air without having a fluid leak

Bleed it. Done.

The air in the lines acts differently at different temperatures. That's why it works a little better in the morning(when it's cooler).

I had this happen to me the other day when I was coming home form GA. It happened right at the border of NC and SC. I had to get down on the side of the highway and pump that thing with my hands like I was trying to rip it out. I bled the slave cylinder and it is working fine now. Also I had no leaks anywhere like you are describing. Just bleed it.

i did, it was fine that night mostly, then again started acting up today...wtf

am i not bleeding it right? Should i take it somwhere to do a thourough job with a machine that just sucks it through in 1 clean swooop?

I dont understand, i remember when my master cylinder was leaking like mad, i still didnt have this problem, until i ran out of liquid completely, and even then, when i added liquid it was fine, and i'v bled it before with normal results

wtf???????? Could the air be caused by something moving ? The little tube going from the fill bottle to the master is kinked a bit, but i thin, its always been that way

I mean its sooo weird, falls right to the floor, bring it up, pump 2-3 times, comes back, then a few seconds later, to the floor again....and when driving , when shifting to 2nd gear, i have almost no pedal...it sux

how can there still be air in there? What else could be causing this?

yeah, i know. I was just thinkin that because I had a similar problem and the slave cylinder needed adjusted. But in his case, it sounds like a bad slave cylinder.

It is most likely a bad seal inside the master cylinder. This sounds exactly like the infamous "2g Ghost Pedal," as described on RRE's page.

RRE said:
On very light foot pressure on a 2Gthe pedal drops to the floor all by it's self. ?? Yes. The little rubber seal in the pic above gets a little nick in it or a piece of dirt under it. On a regular pedal push, the seal seals fine and the clutch works normally. On a very light push, the seal does not seal well and fluid will bypass it. Since the 2Gs have a heavy assist spring, the additional assist is enough pressure to keep the pedal going towards the floor all alone. Quite disturbing to watch. Replacing or rebuilding the master cylinder will fix this.

Here is the pic of the seal in the master cylinder they are referring to.

You might be able to repair the master cylinder yourself with a rebuild kit to save some $, instead of buying a new one. In my opinion a Mity Vac hand vacuum pump kit works best for bleeding the clutch, the kit costs ~$25-$30 at most Auto Parts stores. It also allows you to bleed things like the clutch and brakes all by yourself. :)
