Before I did the timing belt and water pump replacement(tensioners and pulleys looked fine) the car would Idle fine but it was very noisy on the highway and the throttle was not very smooth. Now it it idles like crap, it lopes between 800 and 900 rpm and sound like a big block with a huge cam. :( But the throttle is smooth and it seems quitier. We couldn't get all the timing marks totally lined up right when the old belt was on but with the new belt everything lined up right.

On another note I replaced the crank pulley because it was bad but I still have a belt squeling when I start it up but goes away shortly afterward.

Anybody got a clue?

I kinda think that maybe when the people before me had it the idle solenoid might of went bad and they thought the timing was off so they bumped up the timing. Dunno. I'm going to check into it more tonight.
