idle'ing stutter

so when i drive now...the idling is like really screwed up....i mean it could be worse i guess...and it doesnt do this liek allll the time but the majordy of the time...like the rpms and shit will be like stuttering until i get past 2.5k rpm or 3k rpm....and if im stopped in drive or park or whatever, sometimes it'll start to like drop down to 4 or 500 rpm and bounce up and down and shit, and when i first start it up it sometimes has a rough start for liek the first few seconds or so. and just to note this IS a 420a engine, just a gs eclipse. I'm thinking either the BISS or IAC or idle sensor or something, and if IS one of those can anybody give me the info on where they're located and how to check if thats whats causing it. so yeah i need help, and i'de appriciate ANY comments or advice or ANYTHING, thanx

had the same problem in both my dsm's, change the plugs to copper ngk's and you'll be laughing.
