I went to bleed my slave cylinder, the underside of it is covered in fluid. does this mean my slave cylinder is bad ?
 
More than likely. Don't panic, they're fairly cheap, and the job of swapping one out really isn't any more complicated than bleeding it. Just be sure you get the banjo bolt started before you bolt it up tight to the bellhousing, and only use your fingers to start it.

A stainless line is also highly recommended.
