Timing belt or rebuild?

So my timing belt jumped of while i was driving. On my other eclipse this also happened, but as a result all 16 of my valves were bent. Is this something that commonly happens or is there a good chance that I can just replace the timing belt and be fine from there. I haven't had a chance to rip her apart and look for myself yet, and just wanted to hear what you guys had to say about it. By the way it's a 95 non-turbo clipse.

What he said. If your compression test comes out good, consider yourself lucky. If it's bad, either get the head rebuilt, or just swap it out for a 1g.
