This is so frustrating. My car's altenator was replaced about 30k ago with a much heavier duty than stock altenator. All winter, the belt squeeled when it was colder out. Yesterdya, the car died on me, and I had it flatbedded home. i replaced the really worn belt and charged the battery up.Car was running awesome last night. The belt is perfect tension, and really was running right.

Today, I drove 30 minutes to work, not a problem wiht the car. I tought I was all set and wouldn't have anymore problems. Well, after work, I'm driving home, and the dash lights start doing the dim->bright->dim->bright->dim thing all the way home. I pull into my driveway, shut my car off, and go to restart it, and boom. The battery is dead. Won't start at all.

Now I just got my car washed this past Friday, and began having problems Saturday evening (aside from justa squeeling worn belt).

What could be the problem?

charge the car start it up disconnect the + and if it turns off ur alternaor is bad.

check the voltage as well its supposed to be 14. and turn on all ur lights and shit see if it goes dramatically lower.
buy a autozone alternator they have life time warranty. Dsm alternators #### up easily.

make sure all ur wires are good.Clean up the batty terminals and what not as well.
