Clutch issue

My car doesn't seem to disingage when I push the clutch in. The gear seems to keep moving. This happens in first really bad but sometimes it is really hard to get into 2nd and reverse I don't shift hard into the gears (first sometimes secound, and reverse) because they will grind. Gets a little worse the longer I drive. Any ideas??

does the clutch pedal feel spongy and loose? check the master and slave cylinders.

Check your clutch padel for play.

Check your clutch master resivoir, low or empty? Check inside your car where the clutch rod pushes into your clutch master, is it leaking? also check clutch pedal freeplay as someone else had previously stated. One other thing check to see if your clutch slave cylinder is leaking (mounted on your trans.)
