Was sitting after work talking to the boss today. He had made a comment at how good my car sounded for having 100k miles on it. So I slowling pressed the gas the tapped it to rev it up. After I let my foot off the gas I watched to tach go to 7grand and the engine made a really wierd noise and it died. Now I can not get it started at allllllll. My original thought was that I might have skipped a tooth on the timing belt. But when I am cranking I do not hear any ticking or clicking. I am also getting a CEL now, but cannot get the car to Autozone to check.
I did a little searching and found one that had a way to check the timing. It said to rotate the crank until the crank pulley (The one that drives all the accessories) lined up to the T marking on the timing belt cover. And then check the cam pulley's. But the both lined up perfectly.
So my only thought now is did the crank pulley skip teeth. Or is it something else? I am going to try and pick up and ODB scanner tomorrow. But just wanted to see what you guys think could have happened.
Thanks
