I just installed my Greddy Type-RS BOV and I have already lost the spring tightening screw. I instead used a screw that fit the threads and just used that. I don't know why but when my BOV vents it makes a loud fluttering sound, no matter how much I tighten or loosen the spring it makes some form of fluttering noise. Anyone know a way to fix this or know what the problem is?

Yea.. The problem is you lost the bolt that threads onto the BOV.

You said you used a screw.? Did the screw have a pointed end.? You probably destroyed the diaphragm inside the BOV.

Just curious, how do you lose the bolt on the BOV>?

The spring is set on the softest setting from the factory and I wanted to see how it performed from there, if need be I would tighten it. Near the middle my first test run I noticed the BOV sounding terrible, after getting home I looked under the hood and the bolt was gone. To soften the spring you must unscrew the bolt, so being at its softest maybe the bolt popped out from the pressure?

No, the screw had a flat tip and threaded in perfectly.
