I want this 96 talon tsi awd turbo but everyone is telling me NNNOOOO!!!! 100,000 miles is way to much and the transmissions are horrible on the Talons.... its an automatic btw...... and that im going to end up having to get an engine rebuild and everything.... tell me your thoughts....

you should slap those people in the face. a 100k is still young for dsm's, if it has been maintained. go check it out and test drive it, see if everything works. ask if the timing belt has been changed recently. if you can, do a compression test or have a mechanic check it out. screw what those people say, they probly drive geo prizms anyway, if its what you want and the price is right i say go for it.

100,000 thats nothin, check the car out and make sure it was maintained, what is the asking price, you will have alot more fun with a 5spd trust me i had an automatic 1g and it gets boring after a while. But a auto with a high stall torque converter and a shift kit will rip like crazy off the line if you power brake, and it will also be very consistent.

ya 100k is nothing my dsm has 246,000 miles and has been running 16psi for the past 2 years aslong as you take care of your girl i mean car they will always be good to ya except now mine is being a biotch and leaking water on my seat when it rains

Mine has 60,000 original miles :) hmmm, i wouldnt listen to those people. I would just go test drive it and do the routine check, but make sure a compression test is in order somewhere.
