OK, I just changed HG's the old one from topline(only 2 weeks old) blew, was water soaked and etc... replaced it with a new mitsubuishi 4-layered steel HG and ARP head studs. when I took the head off I also noticed that the turbo was full of liquid in the turbine and just after it, I drained it and cleaned it out. While I had the head out I also put a new fuel filter in( it had never been changed, and I'm the third owner) while the head was out. I then put the head back on. The timing marks are off by one full notch. Started it up, and tons of white smoke. So I retared the exhaust and advanced the intake both by 3 degrees the smoke seemed to almost stop and it wasnt burping no more. But there is still white smoke coming form the flex pipe and I'm losing some oil, not much. No leaks anywhere. I have a newer Big 16G turbo could it be bad, or would something like a new complete gasket set fix it. Also I have brand new Wiesco Pistons in it with 228 miles on them so I dont think its the rings. But last night after fixing the HG I was driving around, and I noticed when I get above 45mph and boost it, I see Sparks coming from behind my car...not to happy seeing that, but it drives fine and boosts ok, except after 45mph i just see the 4th of july behind me.
I also want to know if I have my boost gauge installed correctly. I have the vaccum hose inbetween the fuel rail and fuel solenoid. its a black hose w/blue dashes on it. And the last thing is, did I install my mbc right? take at look at this drawing of mine.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
