Vacum line with a big tear

Well today I was putting on a new fuel filter and I noticed that the vacum line that goes from the bcs to the wastegate T fitting had a hole about this big-->----------------<--melted because rubbing on the fan I dont know how long it was like that but the car didnt run bad due to it .I replaced it with 3a racing vacum line..I was wondering what would that hole in the line do to my car how would it run with it like that

Yeah But like I said it could of only been like that for a couple mins or so I dont know...The car didnt run any diffrent I noticed my boost guage was hitting 14 better then esual I know the stock boost guage sucks ..It hit 14 alot faster ..My aftermarket boost guage broke yesterday..I was just wondering what a tear in that vacum line would do on any dsm......Sorry if its confusing
