ok i instaled my boost gauge to one of the vacum lines in the engine and at idle it is at -20 vacuum like normal right? then when i boost it goes to like almost 20 i have no boost controler oranything is the gauge hooked up wrong? i think my turbo is on its last leg tho could that do it? thanks

I doubt your boost gauge is faulty. It would read low or not at all if it was hooked up wrong.


My guess is that something is wrong with your wastegate. If it's not opening under boost to regulate boost levels.. your turbo will run much higher PSI levels.

couple things to check..

-Is your wastegate actuator connected to the flapper arm?
-Is a vac line connected to the WG solunoid?
-With the WG actuator arm disconnected do ethe the flapper arm move freely?
