My car is bogging at 12psi. Boosts fine until it hits 12psi. I have a blitz dual boost controller & I was boosting up to 18 psi for 2 years now with no problem. Slowly it started bogging after 12psi...(it boost past 12psi but bogged a bit). Now when I reach 12psi it boggs right away....can't go past 12psi. BUT if the car doesn't reach 12psi(say 10psi only) it runs strong & is fine. Bad boost soleniod? Bad turbo actuator? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :) Thanks.

I think if it was boost leak it be bogging all the time..even before 12psi. Keep in mind that 12 psi is stock set boost. I checked for boost leaks & everything is ok...that was my first thing to check. Running rich...I have a AFR meter & all is fine...stock it always run rich. & I know I'm running rich but 2 years after to act up...naw. Please....I know someone knows. hahaha... HELP! ITs fun until 12psi. HAHAHA.... Thanks guys. :)

Why is it that everytime I recommend a boost leak test people "guess" they dont need one. Do the boost leak test, pump your intake tract up to 50 psi, get a bottle of soapy water and start spraying. I bet you have an intercooler pipe leak. Sean

People should just do it before even posting it's a possible answer for most questions.

Maybe injectors are clogging up...running leaner than before. Is you A/F stock or a wideband. Stocker is just good for seeing if your in the right ballpark not good for tuning. Boost leak sounds more likely though.

Well, no I didn't pass up the boost leak part..that was the first thing I checked on the car. I haven't checked the injectors yet. I am still running rich on WOT. I have a Autometer pro comp gauge. But since it only bogs @ 12psi "on the mark" I was just puzzled. Even if I just gently raise the boost to 12psi...as soon as I hit to boom...it bogs & sounds like a WRX with an exhaust. You know that funny box engine sound. ITs still goes a bit but makes that noise...Dunno I'm still trying to figure it out.

boost leak, guaranteed....

oh and that a/f gauge, it doesn't measure shit. its pretty much useless, all it does it measure your 2nd o2 sensor voltage, which really means nothing...

my car is doing the same thing right now. It bogs all the time though, when in motion and not in motion. Is this a sign of boost leak?

can anybody see the search button...having a boost leak means that already sensored air is escaping through a hole, so the computer is adding fuel to air that is not there, too much fuel means bogging and hesitation. Could also been spark related, good call.

Jesus, 50psi? Thats insane. Pump it up to about 20psi.

It measures the first, but they're both cheap sensors, all the ECU is looking for is a "yes/no" answer from them.

well you can think of me because all I do to check for reasonable leaks is attach the tester the in inlet of the turbo and put it up to around 20PSI and fix from there, are you running 100 PSI of boost by the way?
