HELP ::: loud ticking niose and car shuts off

I Drove my car fine to kings restuarnt and then when i came out to start it again it had a real bad lifter tick and then the car just shuts off and everytime i try to start it, it does the same thing ticks for 10 secs and then shuts off. Oils fine oil presures fine
Any ideas please help! 95 tsi

its a longshot but are you sure its coming from the engine? maybe an ECU?

Noway its comin from the head I know cars good just though someone would know before i took my head off

sounds like your timing belt jumped. when this happens, it tends to make a loud tapping noise from the valve cover area. not a tick, not a knock, something in between. you might wanna retime the belt and see what that does...... ive ran into the same problem, or it seems like the same prob. hope it works out.

yeah i check it out, if it jumped do u think i messed anything up since its an interference motor?

if the timing belt jumped a tooth or something and anything came into contact......yeah, you're gonna have some damage to the valves in there i'm sure. sorry.
