how to check the relay's?
The fans stopped working.
BOTH of them....umm...they stopped working when the car over heated from the lower raditor hose(I have the 6 bolt swap...if some of you know what I'm typen about.)bursting being up against the weight on the trany.
Any sugestions on how to check for ohms of the relay?

Get a diagram/schematic for that relay. There should be two pins that connect to the relay coils. Put 12 volts there, and see if they click. Then, with a multimeter, check the pins of the relay that are connected when the relay is energized (12v applied to coil)) If they are good, you should have no resistance, if not, you'll have total resistance.

Another quick way is to short the pins that switch the fans on and off. If the fans come on when shorted, then you either have a bad relay, or the coil is not getting the power to energize itself. If the fans don't come on, then you're not getting power to the fans and you'll need to trace further back along the electrical system.

BTW, now would be a good time to pick up a copy of a Chilton's or Haynes' repair manual if you haven't done so already. :talon:
