Well here is the problem. My first Valve cover leaked alot of oil in the sparkplug area because it had a small crack in it. I pulled the sparkplugs one by one and checked to see if it was dipped in oil but it was dry. I ran some tests and studied the patterns of the oil and its trail and i always thought it was probably the oil cap. So i replaced the oil cap, and found oil in the sparkplug area again. I discovered a small crack in the valve cover and decided to get rid of it and replace it because that was where the oil was leaking from. SO i changed it with another valve cover with a fresh valve cover gasket that only had 1000 miles on it and it hadnt leaked oil at all for a couple of days untill today. I wouldnt say its leaking alot of oil at all, its barely leaking any, but it seems to be coming from one of the bolts in the sparkplug area. My question is, could the bolt be the problem. Could it be that its not tight enough, or are there other issues that i have to look for. If so, how do i correct it. So far i have found no cracks in the valve cover at all. When i first changed the valve cover, i do remember seeing a tad bit of oil coming from that same bolt but i thought thats was normal for it to do that the first time. Any help will be appreciated

Could be you cracked the replacement. Hose it off with brake cleaner, get ALL the oil off, and dust the area with talc. Look 50 miles later for the leak.

Thanks so much Defiant for the help..your my savior..LOL. I will do exactly what you said and if it still leaks, ill go from there.

Have you tried getting an oil cap gasket from mitsu? It's like $2. It makes the oil cap go on tight as hell. I used to leak too, but once I put that on, the problem was solved. :thumb:

Where did you get the mitsu cap gasket, at the actual dealer or a website? Thanks.

You can get em at the stealership for a couple bucks. I had a problem similar and that turned out to be the culprit. :thumb:
