I just got my car running decent after having trouble for a while. The car is fully built. I dont really want to go thru a mods list but heres the basics its a 95 rs with a Garret T3/T4 and the motor is fully built with a ported head JE pistons Eagle H beam rods and Crame cams(242) As for fuel it has a 255 pump and #30 lb injectors. It has nothign to control the fuel curve down low. as for up hiugh wen the car is running good I am running about 12 psi and the car runs at about 1.2 mv. What my car will do now is it will idle real shitty and shut off or it will drive and sputter heres the codes it s throwing..

1.Camshaft position Sensor - A-Bank1 Circuit Malfunction Code # 340
2 Idle Control Malfunction- Code # 505
3.Ignition Coil B Primary/ Secondary circuit malfunction- Code # 352
4 Fuel air metering manufac. control- Code 1204

As for the metering is it talking abotu my map sensor??
For the camshaft position sensor. I took the cap off on the side of the valve cover and all I see is the side of teh came where it has 242 ground into it.
Ignition coil b?? I thoutgh I only had 1 coik pack?


PLease help me out!! Im new to the 420A's Im a 4g63 freak!! I have never had so many problems with a car then a 420a motor. Stick with the 4g63's!!!!!!!!! Thanks for any help-mike

Unfortunately I don't know 420A's as well as 4G63's but the above line seems like a bad idea for the size of that pump. Hell that pump on 4G63's needs an AFPR, much less a 420A setup.
 
I do have a AFPR. I have a Vortech SFMU. What kind of idle fuel prezssure should I be looking at on the 420a? What shoudl my 1st step to fixing it be. I am planning to take my injectors aout and replace them with the stock ones until I canafford an SAFC. PLease keep the help coming this is my only car until I get my GSX back on the road. thanks!!
