car is a 95 gsx 90k on it

about two weeks ago I had a problem with a bad vibration from the driveshaft on heavy acceleration. Took it to a shop and they removed the shaft. 2 of the u-joints were locked.
I had them replaced=not cheap since you got to go to mitsu to get them. well anyways.

I got the car back first thing i noticed was a clicking between 18-25 or so mph going straight, turning it doesnt matter. 2nd thing i noticed was a popping noise from drivers side rear lower speeds. I would say when it bumps but hell it does it on smooth roads too. cant notice it between 50-80.

now for the part that really bothers me. a buzzing/metal rubbing hummm. it is loud comming from the rear also but it only starts up between 80-85 mph then buzz all the way up to 140.<not smart but i wanted to see if it would stop at higher speeds.

the driveshaft carriers felt good to me no wear and still had play in them.<not stiff. the only thing the shop said is that the little rubber pieces with the metal inserts that go from the body to carrier were worn out and that may be the prob. I highly doubt that though.

Im about half tempted to get the drivshaft shop driveshaft and chuck this one. but could it be my rearend? the poping i beleive could just be a strut. all axles are tight no play. so that cancels that.

any idea's... tired of dumping cash into it, oh wait i bought a dsm my fault,

Its quiet now, here is what was wrong.
rattle from drivers rear- strut tower top 3 bolts loosening themselves, why... the rubber grommet that holds strut in place. :thumbdown

buzz from undercarrage. you guessed it when they dissasembled the driveshaft they didnt put it back in the same way front half wasnt balanced with back half.

pop/snapping at low speeds specifically 20 mph. the bushings for the carrier bearings shot. I even looked at them and could move the carrier up and down over 3/4 inch. where the 2 rubber pieces bind on the carrier to hold it in place. replaced all of them.
and I went ahead and replaced the rear carrier bearing to. better to do it now than, have to when it goes out if it would.

oh yea, while i was under the car guess what i saw all over my exhaust and driveshaft. you guessed it trasfer case fluid. car has 99k on it and never has had the recall done.
+ I made them replace a brake line that they bent up while working on the car. they wern't going to do it but i noticed it and said whats up with that. "oh, well we hit it while getting the shaft off" LOL fix it!

I highly recommend for the people who are replacing there carriers to replace the bushings also they are cheap even from mitsu i notice they were only like $7 a pop for all the pieces. :thumb:
